1. Don’t yell and shout at your puppy. Remember that a puppy is just a baby and that any major disturbances can have a major impact on its mental state. Extensive shouting can leave the dog feeling inferior and unloved.

2. Just like human beings it is truly important to not give your dog any more food than it requires. Extra calories will end up as fat and when your dog gains fat it will also slowly loose its vitality and energy only to end up like a sleeping dog torso.

3. Food for humans and food for dogs and not the same thing. Many pet owners find themselves giving their dogs leftovers from the dinner table. It is not healthy for a dog to eat human food so instead you should go visit your VET to find out what the right food is.

4. Walking your dog on a daily basis is vitally important to satisfy the basic physical needs of your dog. Smaller dogs will need shorter walks and larger breeds and most above average size breeds will even need more walks per day.

5. Your dog is a living being and it needs exercise often. So instead of just going out for a walk you might want to take it to the park to play. Play with sticks or balls and have your dog run off some of its energy. It will love you for it.

6. Every dog owner should sign up for dog training courses. Being able to control your dog and to have it follow commands is beneficial in so many ways that you can hardly believe it. It is also an important point to learn how to show your dog that you are in charge.

7. You must be sure to show your dog that you care for it and that it can feel secure and loved around your. Not only will it remain happier but it will also return your love ten-fold as you are its master and leader.

8. Treat your dog with respect and it will in return respect you back. Even though a dog might not be at the level of intelligence that humans are it is still a highly sophisticated being that should not be taken lightly.

Dog vitality and well being is very important in order to have a happy and peaceful pet. As a dog owner you should spend enough time and energy in teaching your dog and yourself the best ways to love and respect each other as you will probably be together for a long time.
